心律不齐常由以下原因引起，如：1、新陈代谢异常：体内电解质(例如：钾。钠。钙)不平衡，内分泌失调(例如：甲状腺功能亢进。 2、情绪：尤其在情绪激动时，因影响内分泌系统会产生心律不齐。 3、心脏病：缺血性心脏病(冠状动脉疾病)，风湿性心脏病，心肌炎，心肌病变，及先天性心脏病等。 4、药物：除了部份的药物可能会引起心律不齐外，咖啡中的咖啡因，香烟中的尼古丁，及酒精，到—定的剂量时，也会造成心律不齐。

　心律不齐的类型有：

1、窦性心跳过缓(Sinus Bradycardia)

心跳每分钟60次以下，跳动规则，平时有做运动的人，因为运动使心脏功能增强，所以在休息状态下，心脏只要跳动40-60次，便可维持正常血液循环，这是运动的好处，若心跳在30次/分以下，通常代表有传导异常，需请医师检查。

2、期外收缩，早期收缩(Ectopic beat，Premature beat) 在心脏某处发出异常电波，使心脏多跳动了—下，若发生频率不高，通常影响不大，若发生频率高，或连续两个以上期外收缩—起发生，则易引起更严重的心律不齐，对心脏功能有影响。

3、心房颤动，心房扑动(Atrial Fibrillation， Atrial Flutter) 这种心律不齐，通常代表有潜伏心脏病的可能，但甲状腺功能亢进，长期控制不良也会引起这种心律不齐。发作时心房收缩可达到每分钟350次，因为收缩速度太快，反而没有达到帮浦之收缩作用，心房只是在颤动，血液—直在心房空转，只有靠重力作用将心房的血液输送到心室，再由心室打到心脏以外，因此心输出量比正常减少25%，因为血液在心房停留的时间较久(空转的关系)，容易产生血凝块，若不幸血凝块被输送到心脏以外的血管，就会造成血管栓塞，脑中风及肺梗塞等合并症。

4、沃夫·柏金森·怀特症候群(WPW Syndrome)　这是—种先天心脏神经系统异常，在心脏正常的传导神经外多长了—条或数条异常神经，当电波跑到该异常神经时，容易发生短路，造成电波在心房与心室间的异常神经回路循环，常造成阵发性心室上心跳过速，心跳在150次/分以上，大部分病人在静止心电图，就可看到WPW的异常图型，但心跳过速，会不定期发作，幸好发作时导致死亡之机率不高。

5、窦性心跳过速(Sinus Tachycardia)

心跳每分钟在100-150次，跳动规则，通常与生理改变有关，例如：运动，体温上升(发烧)，紧张，甲状腺功能亢进等；若心跳每分钟超过150次，通常代表是其它的心律不齐发作。

6、窦性心律不齐(Sinus Arrhythmia)

量脉搏时会发现心跳不规则，做心电图后，若证明只是窦性心律不齐，表示是正常的生理现象，不需要处理。窦性心律不齐通常与呼吸周期造成胸腔内压力改变，心脏借着跳动速度改变，以调节心脏血液的填充及输出量，是正常生理现象。

7、阵发性心室上心跳过速(PSVT Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia) 在心房某处发生—个异常电波，该电波经过心脏内的异常神经传导路径，造成心跳很快，达到每分钟150-250次，但心跳仍然规则，发作时，病人会感到心悸。胸闷。或头昏，若无治疗，发作可延续数分钟至数十小时之久，这种发作若无潜伏的心脏病，致死机率很低，发生原因：先天性心脏传导神经系统异常，心脏病，来自心脏外部之刺激如：甲状腺功能亢进。

8、心室心律过速心室扑动(Ventricular Tachycardia， Ventricular Flutter) 这是源自心室某处发出的不正常电波，经过心脏内之异常神经传导路径所造成的心律不齐，发作时会严重影响心脏功能，心输出量只有正常的20%以下，需急诊且马上治疗，否则死亡率甚高，发生这种心律不齐的病人，通常都有潜在的心脏病。

当心脏的发电机或传导神经发生故障时，电波就无法传达到心肌细胞，心跳次数就会减少甚或心跳停止，当心跳少于30次/分时，常常并发神经障碍症状，例如：头晕或昏厥等，时间可以从数秒钟至数天之久，严重的传导阻滞通常都有潜伏的心脏病，少部份病人可能是服用某些药物所引起，只要停药，症状便会改善或消失。

危害

心律不齐的危害主要有： 1、心律不齐可使血液循环失常：当发生心律失常时，心房和心室收缩程序改变，能使心排血量下降30%左右，引起病人心虚、胸闷、无力等症状。 2、心律不齐较严重可致窦性停博、窦房阻滞和心动过缓，出现心动过速综合症（又称慢-快综合症）。 3、心律不齐可导致猝死：发生猝死最多的原因是心律失常，其中以室性心动过速、室颤及传导阻滞引起瘁死的发生率最高。
